For internal political reasons at the publication that commissioned this shot, I was asked to shoot the owners of Speakeasy Cafe and Internet Services with both a computer and a cup of coffee and "get something in it that says "Speakeasy." This is what happens when writers become photo editors... my AD, fabulously overqualified for her new editors, asked me nicely to "just do it" so I just did it. No special effects, the subjects are simply reflected in the coffee.
