I spent a great afternoon with Tom and his wife, Alexa, knocking around LaConner, WA. Tom had talked about wanting to be less reclusive, going on tour with his new book. He had this coat that he thought he looked good in and when he put it on, I thought, “chrysalis.” We made this shot in their house.
