mystery writer, j.a. jance

This was shot at a Club in Seattle that Jance and her husband belong to. It was the painting that set things going. The feeling of conspiracy that it adds makes the shot. I pulled a couch in front of it and Jance and her husband had drinks and chatted pleasantly while I shot away. I'd brought the knife from home, just in case. Jance kept saying, "But I would never hold a knife this way." and I kept saying, "That's why it works." It's not the most flattering picture of Jance that I've seen, but I think it's the most interesting.
